I took this photo at the Cornell Plantations. It is a humongous flower! I took the background out and placed a black layer behind it and a wispy yellow highlight behind the flower.

I like how you've manipulated the colors. FUN!

@Marcie: Thank you, Marcie. I actually didn't change the colors, only gave them a little more saturation. I removed the original background and then added a new background and added the blurred copy of the flower between the two layers.
beautiful colors.....

Gorgeous picture Wendy. The colors and tones are beautiful. Like the way you composed this shot too.

@John Maslowski: Thank you, John, for your comments. I appreciate your critiques on my journey to better photography skills.
Beautiful! Good job with post processing! Do you have CS3 which, I believe, makes it easier to remove backgrounds? I use PS7, which does not make it easy.

@Anita: Thanks, Anita. I do not have CS3. I can't afford it. I am using a program called (I think) Fluid Mask Lite 3. (I am not at my computer--but a friend's--so I don't have access to check the name.) I have a really old version of Photoshop on my old Mac laptop--Version 5!
